Four Dead, Two Missing On Mount Everest
The start of the climbing season after a two years closure has been marred by tragedy as climbers have died in four consecutive days on the world’s highest mountain.
Eric Armund died on Friday while descending the summit while an Australian woman died of altitude sickness on Saturday
A forty-four year old man, Subash Paul also died of altitude sickness on Sunday while two other climbers are still missing as rescue efforts continue.
Despite the obvious risk associated with conquering Mount Everest, hundreds of people still attempt to scale the summit every year .
In 2014, 16 people were killed in a deadly avalanche.
