Image
It appears Australian hostage negotiator Dennis Stephen isn't done making outrageous and some would say 'eye-opening' claims. Just a day after he claimed that former Borno state Gov, Alimodu Sheriff and an unnamed retired army chief are sponsors of Boko Haram, he's now claiming that the insurgent group if funded through the CBN. In an interview with  TheCable , Stephen claimed a senior official of the CBN handles the financial transactions of the sect group. What hs said below... "One of the biggest of suppliers of arms and military uniforms to the JAS (Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, better known as Boko Haram) currently lives in Cairo, Egypt. He is the recipient of money sent by political sponsors from Nigeria. The funds go through the CBN’s financial system and appear to be a legal transaction. Meanwhile, the CBN official who handles the funding is an uncle to three of those arrested in connection with the Nyanya bombings. The three boys live...

How I survived Ebola – Dennis Akagha

Image
By Florence Amagiya H e and his wife-to-be had lofty dreams of living fulfilled lives and raising wonderful children together. The fiance was two months pregnant and their traditional marriage had been fixed for October. His fiancee, a graduate nurse, had just secured a job at First Consultant Hospital, Lagos. He too also just got a marketing job with an oil and gas company. She was reluctant to go to work on the first day she was expected to resume on account of ‘morning sickness’ (pregnancy symptoms) and he encouraged her. She did! Lo and behold, her first duty and first patient to nurse on her first day at work was the late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American, who brought the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) to Nigeria. And that decision put a full stop to the lofty dreams of a promising family. Welcome to the world of Mr. Dennis Akagha, the husband-to-be of late Miss Justina Ejelonu, the nurse, who contacted and died of the Ebola disease from Mr. Sawyer. In an ex...

Shan George Fights London Promoter Over Son’s New Song!

Image
The actress who manages her second son, ever since he became a musician has accused his London record label for releasing his 2nd single on Monday without her listening to it as his mother and manager. She also complained that the music was too long and it might be a challenge when they have to shoot the video, adding that most TV stations in Nigeria don’t take in music videos that exceed a certain number of minutes. But while reacting to Shan’s claim, a representative of the music label, Ms Linda Jacks said, “The song wasn’t given to the artiste’s manager before release, because when we released Jaga’s other song ‘Mboro’ two months ago, Shan George gave out the song to too many people before the release date, and that affected the monitoring the progress on the song out there. That is the reason our company decided not to give outthe song to anyone before release date,” she said. But when a reporter reached Jega himself, he said something entirely different; “I’m doing good music. T...

Android’s first 64-bit Phone comes packed in a budget-minded package

Image
APPLE last year made a splash when it introduced the iPhone 5S as the first smartphone to rock 64-bit. Up to now people wonder what extra benefit such chips on steroids would benefit them. Also early this month chip maker Tegra announced it’s Tegra K1 chip with 64 bit capabilities.  We all know that a 64-bit chip won’t make the phone any faster, but some other changes to the ARM architecture that come along with the 64-bit chips should be of benefit.  This week HTC announced the HTC Desire 510 is a first for Android, packing a 64-bit chip. To every nerd’s surprise it comes in a budget-minded package, however, as the rest of the phone’s specs are firmly mid-range with the following specs. Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor 4.7-inch, 854×480 screen 1GB of RAM 8GB of storage with a MicroSD card slot VGA front-facing camera with a rather paltry 5MP rear shooter support LTE connectivity. The phone will come to Parts of Europe, Africa and Asia will...

Boko Haram reportedly ‘beheading’ Christians in Gwoza

Image
According to reports, Boko Haram militants are beheading young men in the Christian community in Gwoza, the Borno town that the insurgent group recently took over and declared an Islamic caliphate. Sources from the town claim that Christian men who refuse to convert to Islam are being beheaded while the women are being forced into marriages with the insurgents . "It is quite clear that terrorism has no friend, but it is abundantly clear that the Christians are worst hit. The whole town and the Parish rectory have been occupied by the terrorists. So many structures and items have been vandalized. Dozens have been killed and a lot of church structures have been burnt down. Christians in the town are really in a terrible situation, a moment of great persecution. Christian men were caught and beheaded, the women were forced to become Muslims and were taken as wives to the terrorists.” Rev. Fr. Gideon Obasogie, the social communications director of the catholic diocese of Maiduguri...

fans Blast NEYO after his ex-GF reveals he made her tie her tubes

Image
What I don't understand is why any woman in her right thinking mind, especially if she's in her 20s, will let any man convince her to tie her tubes. Especially a man who is not even your husband. Tying your tubes should be a decision you make on your own. Anyway, on the last episode of Atlanta Exes, Ne-Yo's baby mama Monyetta Shaw tearfully confided in Cee-Lo Green's ex-wife Christina that she agreed to have her tubes tied at Ne-Yo’s request. Ne-Yo has since left her and now has a new girlfriend.  After the mother of two made this revelation, fans, women and foes came for Neyo. They blasted the heck out of him. He finally responded yesterday to the backlash. See that after the cut...

Speaking at a meeting with Mr. David Navarro, a Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General, President Jonathan particularly denounced discriminatory actions such as that which forced Nigeria’s team to the Youth Olympics in China to abandon its participation. Responding to the Secretary General’s commendation of Nigeria’s management of the threat of Ebola, President Jon...
